Windsurfing: Jericoacoara, Brazil Wind Direction: SE Wind Stength: 20-25 knots Surf / Sea State: Chop/swell Air Temperature: Scorchio! Sea Temperature: Scorchio! Weather: Sun...what a sunset.... Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Similar story to yesterday. Wind started off from W/SW but swung round and
eventually filled in from the SE at about 2.30pm.
Much better session though. Slightly more wind so was well powered up on
the 5.2, which I had rigged with slightly less downhaul (actually could
have done with a bit more - sail felt a bit unstable at times). Bigger
board + fin so everthing was much easier. Confused chop/swell (bit like
sailing at Weston...) made sailing hard work, and fluffed most of my gybes,
so need to improve my sailing a lot. Stilll was planing almost all of the
time, with some very nice big floaty jumps for good measure.
Same slog out past the point to the wind line and then back in again. More
wind + bigger board meant more success at it this time though, and only a
10 minute swim at the end back into the beach. Nice.
